A capital and the largest city (700.000) with mixed atmosphere of the Orient and the West, with an history of more than 2000 years, is the real place to start to discover the Republic of Macedonia. Excursions to local places of interest-monuments from the different civilizations epochs are on visitor's doorstep-add to the delight of staying here. In Skopje there is always something going in somewhere-all year round: in summer and spring, the Art Festival and attractive garden-restaurants in the city and in the environs where the local people and the guests from abroad enjoy in good drinks ("Skopsko" beer and Macedonian wines) and the tasteful national dishes, in autumn and winter the International Jazz Festival, Opera and Theatre performances, folk and classical music concerts or making one day ski tours on the topes of Shara Mountain.
*CITY: Old and new part of Skopje, Stone Bridge, the church of Holy Salvation with the marvelous wood-carved iconostasis, Mustapha Pasha Mosque, the church St. Panteleimon with the famous fresco "Lamentation of Christ", Art Gallery, the old caravan inns.
Ohrid Lake the cities of Ohrid and Struga and several fishing villages are pleasant summer resorts. The natural beauties of the lake, the numerous historical monuments,  the hospitable people and unusual customs are making an enjoyable unforgettable stay. Since 1980 this Macedonian pearl is under protection of UNESKO .
With its unique flora and fauna its own endemic world, Lake Ohrid is a real natural museum, one of most significant in Europe and in the world.
Tourist season on Ohrid Lake begins in the early spring months and it ends late autumn. Crystal clear waters of the Lake in the season are used mainly for swimming, but also for various water sports and recreation activities like sport fishing, swimming, water polo and sale).
Pick up from the hotel and drive to Ohrid harbour from where the tour will proceed on foot through the of part of the city - rich in culture and tradition. The town has preserved its old nucleus on the hill below Czar Samoilo's fortress. Visit the Cathedral of St. Sophia (11th C.), the church of St. Climent (13th C.) the Gallery of icons (a most impressive and valuable collection). A marvelous view extends from the church of St. Panteleimon . The ancient architecture will be shown, also.
*ST. NAUM: The most beautiful spot on the lake can be reached by coach passing through the fishing villages of Peshtani, Trpejca and Ljubanishta. Visit the monastery and the church (10th C.) built by St. Naum of Ohrid. From the stone platform there is a wonderful view of the lake and the surrounding mountains.
Struga, the second town on the lake shores, known by its market, the church of St. George and Drim River which swells from the Ohrid Lake and flows into Adriatic. Visit the church of Notre Dame at Kalishte.
 The ski resort on Bistra Mountain (Mavrovo) is a real paradise for skiers where the snow and the woods are the part of wild nature.
In this town, situated 1,250 meters above the sea level: During the Macedonian Ilinden Uprising of 1903, a Republic was created - the first statehood of the kind in this part of Europe!  The Ilinden Memorial stands above the town as an eternal guardian and reminder of the past.
Here was born Nikola Martinoski, one of the greatest contemporary painters of Macedonia. Also, this is the birthplace of many other prominent Macedonians of the 20th century.
